Caucasus Map

The Caucasus is a high mountain range in Eurasia and covers 1,100 kilometers across the countries Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia. It lies between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea and divides into the Great Caucasus, the Little Caucasus and the Talysch Mountains. With its 5.642 meters, the Elbrus is the highest mountain in the Caucasus.

There are about 50 peoples living in the Caucasus. The mountains also have a very diverse animal world. Today there are still jackals, lynxes, wolves and bears.
