1996 United States Federal Lands MapThis beautiful map was published in 1996 by National Geographic and shows the federal lands controlled by US federal agencies. A color coding shows the areas according to the respective federal authority. On this map you can see exactly how the states of the USA are managed and who exactly manages them or which federal agency is responsible for what. On the map you will find the Departments of Agriculture, Trade, Defense, Energy, Interior and more. Based on the color coding, the agencies within the individual departments are visible. The Department of Interior for example includes the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Bureau of Land Management, the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Park Service.
