Detailed German Rail Map 1:700,000 – Railway Network for Planning, Office & Logistics - Interkart

Detailed Railway Network Map of Germany

This detailed railway network map provides a comprehensive overview of Germany's rail infrastructure. Main and secondary railway lines are clearly highlighted, while numerous railway stations throughout the country make it possible to follow the network between cities, towns and regions.

The 97 × 130 cm Standard Format at a scale of 1:700,000 combines detailed railway information with useful geographical orientation. Roads, cities, rivers, lakes and other features are displayed more subtly in the background, allowing the railway network to remain the visual focus of the map.

What information does the railway map show?

The main focus of the map is Germany's railway network. Main railway lines and secondary railway lines are clearly distinguished and numerous railway stations are marked along the routes. This provides a detailed overview of the structure and geographical extent of the German rail network.

For additional orientation, the map also shows international airports, national airports and special-purpose airports. The road network is displayed in the background and includes motorways, expressways, major roads and other roads.

Important rivers, canals, lakes, settlement areas and national borders provide further geographical context. The combination of railway and background information makes it easy to locate rail routes and stations in relation to cities, transport connections and geographical features.

What sizes is the Germany railway network map available in?

The railway network map is available in three different sizes:

• Standard Format: 97 × 130 cm
• Large Format: 130 × 175 cm
• XXL Format: 175 × 235 cm

The map content is identical in all three sizes. Unlike maps where larger formats contain additional cartographic information, all railway lines, stations and geographical features shown on this map are retained across the complete size range.

The difference lies primarily in the size of the presentation and the resulting readability. The 97 × 130 cm Standard Format offers a detailed overview while remaining suitable for many offices, workspaces, schools and private rooms. The Large and XXL formats make individual labels, routes and stations easier to recognise from a greater viewing distance and are particularly suitable for larger wall areas.

You can find the other available sizes further down this page under "You may also like".

Which finishes are available?

The Germany railway network map is available in six different finishes, allowing it to be used as a classic wall map or as a practical planning and presentation tool.

Paper Map
The classic version is printed on high-quality paper and is ideal for individual framing or for use as an informative railway wall map.

Paper Map with Plastic Hanging Bars
The paper map is fitted with sturdy hanging bars at the top and bottom, allowing it to be mounted directly on the wall without an additional frame.

Laminated Map
The map is laminated on both sides for increased protection and durability. The smooth surface can be written on with suitable board markers and wiped clean again, making it particularly practical for planning routes, marking locations or presentations.

Laminated Map with Plastic Hanging Bars
This version combines the durable and writable laminated surface with practical hanging bars for straightforward wall mounting.

Pin Board with Silver Aluminum Frame
The map is mounted on a 10 mm foam board, laminated and finished with a slim silver-coloured aluminum frame. Railway stations, company locations, projects, transport hubs or other relevant places can be marked directly with pins.

Magnetic Board with Silver Aluminum Frame
For the magnetic version, a metal sheet is mounted on a 10 mm foam board before the map is applied and laminated. The finished map is surrounded by a slim silver-coloured aluminum frame. Magnets can be used to mark locations or attach notes, while the laminated surface can also be written on with suitable board markers and wiped clean again.

Our pin boards and magnetic boards are individually handcrafted in our own workshop in Germany. Each map is carefully mounted, finished and framed to order.
